Cathy Davis/Jane Doe (her CSA code name)/Lea Thompson is asked by her old Central Security Agency partner Frank to help solve the case before a huge ransom is paid. There are frictions between Frank's newest partner Helen and Cathy. She worked for CSA before becoming a mom. Her computer savvy son helps her with her "game puzzles"/case as her whole family is kept in the dark as to her CSA job.
